Did you know an FHA appraisal is more detailed than a conventional appraisal? FHA requires the mechanical systems be activated, as well as the crawl space and attic spaces be viewed by the appraiser. However, an FHA appraisal is NOT a home inspection. There is quite a difference between the two.
Be careful when choosing your FHA appraiser. Ask them questions regarding their experience and training. The last thing you want is for a deal to fall apart because you selected a novice FHA appraiser because they were cheaper or faster than a more experienced one.
